Step into MGroup's design studios and you’ll understand Misty's passion to create beautiful, unconventional environments. Her work has been noted as "one of the best kept secrets" by a national publication.  The genesis of  her design firm and gallery began in 2001 with a signature furnishings store, French Dressing and design offices for Mgroup in the historic district of McKinney Texas.  

 

Before the age of twenty, Misty began her career developing her first home furnishing store concept  for private investors and opened her first retail site in Saskatchewan, Canada.   

 

After college, Misty became an international retail buyer – further exploring retail merchandising, import/export and giving her an introduction to international markets.   Her later experience in advertising, developing television, radio and print media, enhanced her skills to create smart, innovative interiors that merge both design and brand imaging. 

 

Misty’s commissions include hospitality, commercial and private residential projects.  Thriving in diversity, Misty has received special appointments to design Dignitary Estates-Saudi Arabia to Movie Production Studios. Recent assignments in Television set design continue to expand her portfolio.

 

In 2004, Misty launched her own signature candle collection, French Dressing – Deux.  She often collaborates with skilled artisans developing custom designed furnishings for retail and design commissions.

 

Misty received her Bachelor of Arts International Studies from Texas State University.  She and her husband, reside in McKinney Texas.
